Hey all, and happy St. Patrick's Day! No matter which of my various names you go by, this here is my holiday. And what better way to celebrate than to do a book giveaway? A book giveaway involving a notable lack of Irish characters…but no matter. I'm going to give away all three of the books in my Shivaree series—Shivaree, Backwoods, and Getaway—to one lucky commenter. The stories may feature more Cajuns than Irish people, but they do take place largely in a bar, and that's very St. Patrick's Day-ish indeed.
For your chance to win, alls you gots to do is leave a comment on the topic of bars. An anecdote, a recommendation for your favorite watering hole, a special drink you order, why you can't stand bars—anything. I'll select a winner at 2pm EST on Sunday, and they will receive all three books, in digital format. I'll announce the winner in an addendum to this post. Now go forth and get lucky!
Sláinte,
Cara
Addendum!
The winner, courtesy of random.org, is Sarah S G. Frantz! I co-stalk you on Twitter, so I'll sleuth your e-mail address out over there. Congratulations! And thanks to everyone who took part!

Bar!
Just kidding, I don't need to be in the running. Happy St. Paddy's. Your contest winner will be lucky indeed.
Oooh! I'd be a happy camper if I won this trilogy!
I'm even wearing green and dressed my toddler in green in honor of St Paddy's Day. Even though we're Jewish, LOL
As for bars, I never go to them anymore. I got tired of bars (and drinking) by the time I was 21 and finally able to buy a legal drink. Now I just drink unnatural amounts of Diet Coke.
There's a bar near my house that I like to imagine I'd go to, if I was a different person. Not a teetotaler, not a mom, not married. I like the idea of stopping off for happy hour on the way home from work, like on Cheers.
Then again, I don't have a regular day job, either, so it's probably all for the best that I don't go there. LOL
Haha. I was just eyeing these books last night as I was campaigning to get votes for DABWAHA. What a coincidence that here they are.
I used to work in a bar. It is an interesting job and one I may have liked more had I not worked in a dive. And it was a DIVE. Someday I may give it another whirl. But hey, I got to see lots of fights!
Oooh, dives are my favorite type of bars!
Thanks for swinging by, and good luck, ladies!
I'm actually going to bartender school when my youngest goes to kindergarten. Have a friend who owns a small hometown Cheers type bar and I will be working for her.
Oh and really looking forward to reading your trilogy *hint hint*
These books are on my wish list :)
I don't go to bars anymore. Now I just find them too over crowded. My favorite drink - a singapore sling. Some bartenders had no idea what I was talking about and I would have to tell them how to make it.
Thanks for the chance to win these books.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

In my college days, bars were my favorite class! Now, old and married, I haven't been to one in years. (Okay, months)
I don't drink or go to bars. The only time I've ever been in one was when I was underage and I went in with my mom and my uncle was working and he threw me out.

I'm utterly lame. Been to two bars in my life. I'm mostly allergic to alcohol. But I got free drinks once at one of the two bars by dirty dancing with the woman I was with--entertained everyone. :)
Allergic to alcohol?! Gasp! Sarah may soften me with that tale of unspeakable woe, but it's still anyone's game through Sunday morning!
I met DH in a bar. 'Nuff said.
WINNER TIME!
