Cool off in the Summer Heat

By: Casey Crow

So it's about 100 degrees here in the deep south and we don't even consider this the height of summer. Luckily, I've found this tasty treat to cool things off.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot tequila (recommended: Jose Cuervo)
  • 1 shot pineapple juice
  • Splash lemon juice
  • 1/2 shot grenadine syrup
  • Club soda
  • Pineapple wedge, for garnish
  • Ice, for serving

Directions

Pour tequila, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and grenadine into a glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with a pineapple wedge.

What's your favorite way to cool off this summer? Pool? Beach? Cocktail? Pool & cocktail combined? LOL Hope you're having a fabulous time!

This definitely sounds like something I'll try soon. Although New England can't compete with the heat level you're experiencing, it's been hot enough recently.
