Is it fall already?

By: Casey Crow

Even though it's still burnin' hot in South Alabama, it's almost fall. I sorta had this ephiany today when a co-worker was talking about her upcoming trip this weekend to the University of Alabama for game day. Then I looked at the calendar and realized high schools around here start playing football tonight. What? How can that be? Where did the summer go?

Now as much as I love Alabama football and would like to taut our status as national champs and how I got to meet the super cute and sweet AL quarterback AJ McCarron, I shall refrain from making the entire about how great my team is. Instead, we'll do that thing elementary teachers just love.

What did you do this summer?

Any great stories out there? I'm having trouble coming to grips that summer is almost officially over. I find myself wanting to hang on to those last shreds of freshly cut grass, outdoor barbeques, pool parties, and watermelon.

Hi, Casey, it's hotter than usual here in SoCal, so it feels that summer hanging around longer then usual...

Great weekend for a barbeque, iced tea and a good book.

It's pretty hot in Florida, too. Today was 104 degrees...or so it was reflected in my car. :P I totally feel like being lazy so I understand the need to just barbecue and swim! Summers or end of summer is always fun to write reunion pieces...or that's what I like to do.

I'm excited! Fall and Winter are my favorite months. I think it comes from growing up in So Cal where there are no seasons.
