I love the summer! Not only are yummies like berries and watermelon plentiful at the store, but at Casa Daniels we get to play fast and loose with our schedule!
Another thing I like about this summer? A book release, of course. Burning Touch, a romantic suspense novel will release on July 6th. Here's a little about it:
When Devon Wise’s massage clients start turning up dead, she reluctantly leans on the sexy guy next door to help her clear her name. Having lost her parents at an early age, she doesn’t trust that anyone she cares about will stick around. Devon never lets her feelings get involved, keeping everyone at arm’s length. But after their first sizzling night, she can’t get enough.
Real estate investor Ben Stafford can’t keep his mind—or his hands—off the earthy beauty who happens to be his new neighbor. When the bodies begin piling up, he wonders if she’s as innocent as she claims or if he’s been spending all those lust-filled nights with a killer.
As if all that wasn't enough, I just contracted a three-book series with Ellora's Cave. The Long and Hard Series features three romantic suspense novellas centering on the Long Shot Security Agency, which is run by the three Long brothers. Long Shot Security provides protection for celebrities, dignitaries and the like and I can't wait to share these hunky PIs with the world!
What about you? Do you like summer? Did you do anything fun and special for the holiday? And a happy belated Canada Day to our northern friends.

I love the fresh veggies during summer! Nothing better than fresh, raw veggies to snack on. Congrats on the new contract. The idea of 3 PI brothers sounds great. My family has a cookout and swimming and fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July. We did it on Saturday though to work better with everyone's schedule.
Hope you have a terrific and safe holiday.
Thanks, June. I love the veggies, too - I make crepes filled with zucchini, corn, green beans and ricotta!
Sounds like the perfect Independence Day - have a great time.
I'm loving summer a lot more now that there's no heat and humidity to deal with. Will miss watching the Universal Studios fireworks from the driveway, though.
No local fireworks here--drought and a countywide burn ban. Will have to catch them on TV.

I bet it's a nice change, Terry. But I'd miss live fireworks, too. Have a great holiday.
Fireworks tonight down here at the beach in SoCal--thousands of people came to see the hundred plus year old parade!
Love the PI series, Wynter! Very sexy...and your new cover is fab! Your stories always have that "Burning Touch!"
Thank you, Jina. I hope you have perfect weather for the fireworks show. Hundred plus year old parade? That's impressive.
Congratulations on the contract! And my holiday was sent walking in a parade with my kids and then watching fireworks over our city on the rooftop of a museum. Great view! Although much too late a night fighting traffic home. I'm zonked.
