New Release and Giveaway

My very first erotic romantic suspense story, Tropic of Trouble, released a couple days ago, which is very exciting to me. But I will save the pimpage for later. The more suspense story lines I write, the more suspicious of real people I become. For example, my daughter asked if her friend could spend a couple nights with us since her mother was out of town and she didn't want to stay alone. I couldn't possibly subject a seventeen year old to several lonely, maybe frightening nights alone. So I said sure.

Those two nights stretched into a week. The girl said her mother was still away but I started thinking up nefarious reasons why she might be detained. Had she been kidnapped? Did the girl really live with her mother? And where was the supposed brother I vaguely remembered hearing about last year?

Turned out, her mom was with relatives she hadn't seen for a while and decided to stay longer. Darn it. I thought I'd found the basis for a new plot.

Please leave a comment and I will draw one winner to receive a download of Tropic of Trouble.

Here's a little about the book:

When Kelsey Ackerman’s assistant at her used bookstore is murdered, the police label it a botched robbery by a desperate drug addict. But Kelsey suspects the perpetrator was looking for a rare Shakespeare volume that someone unknowingly donated. Now a killer’s sights are set on Kelsey.

Jail guard Jason Jones only wants to protect her, but after suffering a controlling father and an abusive ex-husband, Kelsey wants nothing to do with the confident, hot sergeant. Until the danger becomes crystal clear, and the only man who can save her is the very man she can’t resist.

Wynter, I know what you mean about exposure to suspicion increasing suspicion more. A great way to forge new plots for yourself. Everything becomes a spy novel. Keep it under wraps, babe, or we'll be hearing a lot from you about conspiracy I suspect. No, the other Naughty Author Chicks and I have not started plotting behind your back (LOL!). Great news on the release! Yay!!!!

Hey, Wynter, you DID find the basis for a new plot! Just not a 'real life adventure. Congrats on the release. As you probably know, I LOVE romantic suspense!

Thanks Cara and Jina.
Yes - poor Margaret. Like poor Yorick, she doesn't get a single live moment on the page;-)

I think you could turn that into a very interesting story that could have a lot of different endings.
