Friday Already!

Ack! I just realized today was my Friday to post. Somehow I got my weeks mixed up so I'm sorry for the uber late post :) I have no idea what I'm going to chat about so I apologize in advance if this is rambly.

Right now I'm editing two single titles, working on two erotic novellas (one is being particularly stubborn!), trying to finish a couple guest blog articles for this month, and that's just in my writing world. My real life is just as busy busier. So what did I decide to do last night? Sit down and read until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. I bought a few short books from Ellora's Cave and pulled a Gennita Low book (Facing Fear) off my shelf that's been taunting me for a while. I've never read her before even though I own more than a few of her books. My friend Kari has told me how good she is and I wish I'd listened to her sooner. Apparently I'm a slow learner b/c I just read JR Ward this year also despite having been told how fabulous she is. I always do this! I'll get so wrapped up in writing I'll stress out and forget how many great, unread books I need to pull off my shelf and/or buy. After reading so many wonderful stories I feel rejuvenated and I think I'm gonna take this weekend to read a couple more books that have been calling my name. If I don't put a dent in my tbr pile I think my hubby might ban me from buying more books anyway! What do you do when you're stressed out? And what books have you read lately that you absolutely need to tell someone about?

Okay, I don't think that was too rambly :) In case y'all are interested, next week I'm a guest blogger at Cynthia Eden's on July 7th so if you think about it, feel free to stop by! And, I'm going to be interviewing an author that holds a very special place in my heart next week. Lisa Marie Rice will be my guest at Desert Island Keepers July 8-10 and she's giving away a book a day (how fab is she??) so you know you want to stop by for that one!

Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and if you live in the States, have a safe and fun Fourth of July!!

Better late than never! I often lose hours upon hours to reading a good book. I've been getting into Maureen Child's work lately.
To de-stress I finagle a back massage out of DH. He doesn't want me stressed either! Have a happy 4th.

This is also what I did last night (although I believe it was a different night than yours, lol). My DH does so love it when I take a night to read Ellora's Cave. As do I.

I'd been waiting to read the newest Lissa Matthews for quite awhile now. Loved it.

Savannah, you are amazing! I'm impressed with your work output. With so much going on re: your writing, you need a mental break. Reading for pleasure is definitely a way to relax.

Yay, you finally read Facing Fear! Isn't it awesome? I love the storyline and the characters in that one.

And Lisa Marie Rice? I'm so there! Can't wait to "meet" her. Enjoy your long weekend.

Happy holiday weekend Savannah. It's enough to throw anyone off their schedule. But the production is great and you enjoyed my favorite activity of all time, reading until you drop.
