Guy Shows This Girly-Girl Loves to Watch!

My name is Paige Tyler and I'm a girly-girl. And yes, I like to watch "guy" shows!

First off, I love watching football, which my hubby says makes me a guy's dream-girl! LOL! In the off-season, I still have to get my fix, which is why I love NFL Live on ESPN. It lets us keep up with our favorite team, as well as the rest of the league all year round! During the season, we also watch all the pre-game shows like Sunday NFL Countdown and Monday Night Countdown. I told you we love football!

Staying on ESPN, I also like SportsCenter, Outside the Lines and Jim Rome is Burning. Speaking of Jim Rome, I'm absolutely hooked on his radio show, too! Yes, I'm a "lady-clone," too. If you know the show, then you know what I'm talking about. His show is the only talk-radio I'll listen to, by the way. Not only is he funny, but he also interviews great guests. Best of all, I get to keep up with what's going on in the world of sports!

Other "guy" shows I like are Dirty Jobs on the Discovery Channel. I sure as heck wouldn't want to do any of them, but it's fun to watch. We also like Mythbusters. They're also on the Discovery Channel. I don't know why, but I find them really hilarious.

Now, over to the National Geographic Channel. Factory Floor and Ultimate Factories are both fun shows, especially if you're like me and you think the way things are made is really cool! My favorite show on there, though (besides Dog Whisperer, which isn't really a "guy" show, but an "everyone" show,) is World's Toughest Fixes. My hubby teases me and says it's because I like the host, Riley, and while he is a great host and very funny, I really love watching all the cool and, in my book, crazy stuff they have to do to fix things. Since Riley is a rigger, all the stuff they fix is up high, Really, really high.

Okay, so those are the "guy" shows I like to watch. Do you have any you're hooked on?

*hugs*
Paige

i looove sports in general, with a healthy adoration for the great sport of football. the colts are my team in the NFL, but i'll watch college, too *go Vols!*. i like baseball a lot more now, and i put everything down for march madness.

i love ESPN, and when i'm around TV, i usually have sportscenter on. i think my freshman year of college, i watched ESPN 24/7...

i think my favorite guy show is entourage, and not just because vince is sexy. it cracks me up. i love the characters (especially Ari, which is probably one of jeremy piven's greatest roles) and the writing is typically pretty good, too.

my biggest area is action movies. i grew up on chuck norris, van damme, segal, et al. and that helped influence my anti-chick flick stance, which was revoked when i figured out Scent of a Woman is my fave non-animated movie. give me rambo over sex and the city any day.

oh, and i'm a gamer. i really suck at being a girl.

I'm in LA -- I love the Lakers!

I don't think Dirty Jobs should be labeled a guy show! I absolutely love Mike Rowe. 'In a world of glamor, there's Mike'. Love that quote :) I'm not into sports unless you count watching surfing, but I have a penchant for action movies. Spy Game, The Bourne trilogy, The Underworld series, and Gamer are some of my fave that come to mind.

I am so not a guy show kind of girl. There's not a sport I like and much to my hubby's chagrin, I love HGTV! For some weird reason, I watch 1000 Ways to Die on Spike TV, but that's it.

I bet Man vs. Wild is probably a girl show, given that most of the viewers surely tune in to see Bear Grylls with his shirt off, but Survivorman might be more for the fellas. And for me! Les Stroud is my official back-up husband. Manful! Ooh and Canadian—grrarrrr!

I also really liked this show that was only around for one season called Fight Quest, in which two American guys travel the world learning different martial arts styles and fighting the locals in matches. I'm a sucker for men getting beat up. Mmmm, bruises.

And FYI, all of those shows are on Netflix Instant Watcher. I'd hyperlink them but I'm too lazy.

Great post! I like football, but I swear, if you close your eyes and just listen, it is the funniest thing ever. "The receiver is coming coming into the end zone, oh! he slams that tight end and scores a touchdown!" or whatever. Try it, you'll be on the ground laughing.

I now live on a baseball field. My son had a triple-header last night, game tonight, double-header Sat and Sun, so I'm a bit baseballed out.

Have you seen that new show, Human Target? Love it.

Jina, I grew up in LA and dad was a huge Laker fan. Went to the Colliseum (I know I'm dating myself!) many times to see them play. I should Kareen Abdul Jabbar's hand back when I came about to his kneecap. I'm a New Englander now, so this last series was a tough one.

Lex - LOL! That's totally easy to do with ESPN. We do watch some college football, but we're mostly into the NFL. I like a lot of action movies, too, though animated movies and romantic comedies are probably my favorites!

Jina - LOL! We're not really into basketball. Congratulations on the win!

Savannah - LOL! I like action movies, too!

Wynter - Love HGTV and The Food Network! On HGTV, I always think of Holmes on Homes as a guy show because it's more about construction than decor. Forgot to include it on the list, though!

Cara - I never heard of any of those shows. Definitely can't say I'm into the fighting stuff, though. LOL!

Dalton - Love Human Target! He's so yummy, and I don't usually go for blonds! Yeah, the announcers do say some funny things in football, but I love it! LOL!

I don't watch a lot of network TV. Most of the shows are so poorly done. I spend a lot of winter watching hockey and summer watching baseball. I have seen World's Dirtiest Jobs and enjoyed the few episodes I saw. I also enjoy Mythbusters. I also love to watch How They Make It (Discovery channel, I think.)

She - I love shows about how they make stuff! I think that kind of thing is so cool and interesting!

Dalton, I feel for you re: this last series! It was a real cliffhanger down to the end. Two great teams...we'll see what happens next year!

Very cool you got to meet Kareem!

Paige, thankz for letting Dalton and me talk a bit about basketball!
